Some of its design features, such as clamp-free plate closure, are unique to PLX-A4.iv and are not present on any other machines. Other of its features such as combined germicidal and actinic post exposure have, until now, only been present on flexographic exposure units and have not been available for stamp manufacture.

PLX-A4.iv provides the user with the simplest method of polymer plate manufacture. There is no need to handle resin drums, decant photopolymer, lay coverlay, pull vacuum, place damming tape, pour resin, prick air bubbles, lay backing sheet... all this is achieved by simply laying the imagepac sachet over the negative. There is no need to clamp the plate between glass. All you have to do is shut the drawer; the sachet is accurately pre-filled and the drawer shuts to compress it perfectly. There is no simpler method of polymer plate manufacture in the world!

PLX-A4.iv also provides the user with unparalleled value for money. Features such as the all stainless steel body, combined wash out unit, PLC programmable controls, germicidal lights and vacuum system are not currently available on machines in this price range. This opens the possibility of making perfect polymer plates to a much wider audience.

PLB-A4.iv is a compact economical model for the small to medium user. It benefits from the latest in light bulb technology with PLL type bulbs. The unit gives longer bulb life and a better and more even light distribution. It is an all stainless construction and has a simple clamping method.
